The Bulldog Band gives all students the opportunity to develop leadership qualities. Simply by being a member of the band, students learn to lead and to follow direction. Many of the tasks of operating a large, successful band program are the responsibility of the student members. The band directors will delegate a large number of jobs to students not only to make the logistics of running the band easier, but also to develop responsibility in students. The students elect some of the offices held by students, the directors appoint others and others are selected through audition. All officers must be in good standing and have proven leadership skills for the entire school year.
