8th Grade Parent Meeting

Tuesday, February 16, 6:30 PM, AHS Auditorium
 
Parents of 8th Grade band students who will be attending Austin High School must attend this meeting. We will be discussing the transition from middle school to high school band including tryouts, rehearsal schedules and financial obligations.  Most importantly we will be discussing information pertaining to the 2010 trip to the Bands of America Grand National Championships.
 
We look forward to seeing each of you there!


"The Other Side" DVD

The 2009 Austin Bulldog Band and Angels Dance Team DVD, "The Other Side", is now available. Order forms will be picked up from the band and dance hall over the next few weeks or can be mailed to the videographer at the following address:

Fundraising Opportunities

See the January 19 update from Vicki on Toyota Center activities. Watch the progress meter on the right to see how our funds are adding up.

Here is an interesting option to obtain a great souvenir of your band years as well as support your organization. One of our show designers, Mitch Rogers, also produces "art" versions of his drill designs, including those presented by particular schools, which he prints on t-shirts and other items. In exchange for advertising his site, he has offered us a percentage of the sales donated back to the band. Here is his general web site as well as the on-line store for the items mentioned above.

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! We are very excited about the great start we have had to what promises to be a great year for the SFA Band and Angels. I would like to thank everyone for a fantastic band camp, a fun and successful Rock-a-Thon, and a great first semester of team work and excellent competition results. There are a few items for students and parents to be aware of so please read this important memo. 

Congratulations to our awesome Austin Bulldog Band and Angels Dance Team for being a finalist and in winning first place in AAA division at the BOA Super Regionals in San Antonio as well as winning first place overall at the BOA Regionals in Pearland!
